Is bookbinding difficult for beginners?

Our kits are designed with beginners in mind. Each one comes with step-by-step instructions, extra help via video tutorials, and all the tools you need to create your own book. No prior experience is necessary, and you’ll feel confident as you see your project come together!

How long does it take to complete a kit?

For a complete beginner, our kits can be completed in 3-6 hours, depending on your pace and the length of book. Steps do not need to be done all at once, so its easy to pause the project and pick up where you left off later. Some people like to take their time, while others dive right in and finish quickly. Either way, the process is meant to be relaxing and rewarding.

Are the kits suitable for kids?

Our kits are designed for adults and teens, but they can be a great project for children with adult supervision. With guidance, we've seen children as young as 8 put together books they treasure and are proud of!

What tools do I need?

Aside from a pair of scissors and any household heavy object to help smush things down, our kits include everything you'll need, from needle, awl, bonefolder, and paintbrushes to high-quality paper and covers.
